Anticipation..

Ok, this one is dedicated to my dear old pal that joined the POET cult a few weeks ago.
I've been thinking about POET a lot lately, especially after our BNN rollercoaster ride. Once again, this forum is in turmoil, but we've all seen this kind of behaviour before haven't we?
We go through the same cycles over and over again, we all go through the motions. Ecstatic when it goes up & tearing each other apart when it goes down.
Anticipation... Anticipation... Our dreams, our hopes, our fears.
Now, present tense, we're all a bit upset with how the last two weeks were handled. I'm right there with you. Whoever's fault BNN was, whatever theories we have, the questions remain. It's human nature, we're all a little pissed, however we choose to convince ourself.
Sheldon's warrants, BNN and Apple can all be used for speculating, however, they should not be used for dreaming.
We get ahead of ourselves all too often here, myself included.
Let's back it up shall we?
The semiconductor market is looking for solutions to the ever increasing R&D budgets, the shrinking margins & IP wars. We keep hearing that EUV is just not panning out, Silicon has already peaked in terms of profitability at 28nm, and the world needs more powerful semiconductors.
POET-Technologies is proposing a solution, a new paradigm.
Ajit Manocha the Ex-CEO of GLOBALFOUNDRIES, founder of Fab 2.0, Advisor to Obama and Co-Founder of M2i-International. A pioneer of the semiconductor industry, Ajit is now leading PTK.
Tony Blevins, the VP of Purchasing at Apple was tantalized enough by POET to be associated with PTK. Whether it's Apple that sent him here or its Blevins sending himself, it's significant. How significant? We don't know yet, we've speculated, we'll keep speculating, but let's not dream, ok?
What do we know?
Our 3 Milestones are due in June at the "latest". They were requested by multi-billion dollar companies.
-The VCSEL milestone will presumably be ready to generate revenu right pretty much away.
-The Ring-Oscillator will infallibly demonstrate our process benchmarks.
-The PDK will give the ability for clients to develop their IP on our product.
We'll have access to the POET AGSM Voting Agenda on the 27th.
We're sponsoring The ConFab 2015 May 19th-22nd.
AGSM June 12th
We working with BAE & Synopsis.
Personally, I'm trying not to get ahead of myself, I don't think we'll see a deal with Apple any time soon.. Seems to me we're just beginning courtship, I don't think we'll see Apple making a statement until they can look at a couple of production runs. They could very well be looking at us, but IMO they wouldn't want that attention until they are 100% sure.
I think we're much more likely to see a sensor deal with BAE or a VCSEL deal with Finisar or Broadcom before Apple.
I think we've gotten ahead of ourselves and it's killing this forum, especially the new members who haven't gone through all the cycles we have over the years.
We've all seen this before, but it's so easy to lose focus.
My 2 cents,
