Just for clarification, I don't think you can transfer cash from cash acount and then but new shares. But, If you have shares in a cash (non registered) account, you can transfer those shares to the TFSA. In that way it's not a new purchase so yesterdays price would apply. Using new $$ to purchase new shares you have to buy at market price.
