It may be that the move to the NASDAQ is also coordinated with becoming a new US corporate entity rather than staying a Canadian corporation??? They may feel that the Canadian content and other Canadian securities issues are too constraining or unattractive to US investors. One reason for stayng Canadian could be related to the tax advantages of say Apple or other company with offshore US assets avoiding the repatriation tax.
