Very interesting, thanks for sharing, Fairchij!
To summarize and comment:
- There is an industrial partner who wants to bond POET's optical interface with silicon processes, reaping that "low-hanging fruit".
- There are much more technological directions than Geoff Taylor and his team could go at the same time. This means risk diversification – very good! (However, personell seems to be an issue, given they are still looking for a semiconductor process engineer and a semiconductor process technician.)
- Current non-engineering management team hampers communication with the public, which was the reason "they" (Peter?) greenlighted Subhash's somewhat irritating (though technologically correct, see 1.) statement about GaAs on Si. Or did I get CC wrong here? His language is sometimes imprecise.
- CEO search is still not finished. (Okay, the search might remain "unfinished" until the new CEO is officially announced.)
