There is no such thing as "no risk", not in any investment, not in everyday life. We face the risk of an accident when we leave the house to exercise, but on the other hand we face the risk of obesity when we remain inside the house and don't move enough.

Risk is everywhere, and we are used to it. (Only in nuclear people demand 100.00 percent safety, but that's another story.)

The question should not be whether there is a risk or not (there always is), but rather how large or small that risk is.

Regarding POET Technologies I think the chances on the upside are tremendous while the risk on the downside is very small. That's my personal take, but of course everybody must come to his/her/its own conclusion, ideally based on the best possible DD, which you can get here – unless you are either a fly on the wall of Peter's and/or Ajit's office or an NSA guy tapping their phones.
