These sales eclipse TOTAL smart watch sales from all vendors. I had a Nike heart monitor watch with paces and running data. It was a very cumbersome software and the watch was ugly. The Apple watch doesn't require a chest band. Once sports enthusiasts and people with health needs (health kit) start using it combined with health care providers sales will likely surpass these forecasts in 2016 and beyond.
This is just the begging of Apples move into wearable smart devices. This may be why Apple is interested (invested, committed, exploring) POET.
