I've been a firefighter for 28 years. Over the years there has been lots of changes and one of them is how the alarm is received. After about 8 years on there was an older guy on the department, very laid back and stayed pretty quiet in general. The shift (s) had been pretty quiet and as that happens moral gets a little down in the dumps.( Hate to say it but moral does go up when we are busy ). Out of the blue he gets up, turns to the alarm on the wall and raises his arms. By this time we are looking at him wondering what's up. All of the sudden he yells " RING ". I always chuckled about that? Well here I sit 20 years later and I find myself saying to Poet " RING " !! Cheers folks, our time is near and the moral will go up. Crzyhors
