Not odd at all to give access to inside or proprietary information regarding the technlogy if he is on the Technology Roadmap Advisory Board as the respresentative of a large client that is important enough to have a seat at the table prioritising what can be done inside a company with somewhat limited resources.

Not to say that the speculation around CEO is wrong, just another way to look at things. Frankly I don't think he has the level of semiconductor depth that you might prefer in the position. He does have good knowledge of one key end market though.
