Message: Literal vs. Speculative

Here's a fun exercise for people stuck in panic mode all the time..

"in a literal manner or sense; exactly.

"the driver took it literally when asked to go straight across the traffic circle"

synonyms: exactly, precisely, actually, really, truly; More"

(Yes, this is the definition I'm using)

Literal:

-We've achieved 40nm & 100nm, we're now "fine tuning" the process in a 3rd Party Foundry.

"3rd Party Foundry 40/100nm transfer Bring up critical layers manufacturing capability in external foundry. Accelerates completion of development and optimization learning cycles on 100 and 40nm structures. Also enables more complex test structures. "

-The estimated completion of our Milestones(VCSEL, Ring-Oscillator & PTK development) is July 1st.

"This delayed the team’s progress in the last 3 months. The issue was resolved in the last week of March 2015 with the root cause identified as an inappropriate installation by a third party. Appropriate repairs to this equipment have been made." The team is confident to complete the three milestones over the course of the next quarter.

-This was the reason we hired our new COO and the only reason know up to now.

"The new COO’s engineering background is deep and can not only speak to the third parties but he’s also on the same wavelength as Taylor. It’s why they green lighted his statement as to what Subhash contributes to the team he’s basically another R&D guy to throw into the mix who has the deep experience from an operational standpoint. The next goal of course is to bring in an operational CEO and for Peter Copetti to feel comfortable stepping aside knowing that the technology’s future is in safe hands."

-Tony Blevins is a consultant for POET on our Technology Roadmap Advisory Board, nothing more nothing less. Apple's involvement with POET is not confirmed by any sources, we know Tony Blevins is associated with POET .

"Formation of Technology Roadmap Advisory Board

The Company announces the formation of a "Technology Roadmap Advisory Board" comprising of Dr. Geoff Taylor, Ajit Manocha, and Tony Blevins. This Advisory Board collectively has extensive expertise in the semiconductor industry, supply chain management and operations, consumer products, and key technology markets, with over 100 years of combined experience.

This Advisory Board will act as advisors to the Board of Directors and the Executive team with primary focus on optimizing and accelerating the company's "Lab-to-fab" transition and commercialization plans. "The Company is looking forward to leveraging the newly formed Advisory Board's semiconductor market expertise and execution track record," said Mr. Peter Copetti, Executive Co-Chairman and interim CEO."

-Our low hanging fruits are POET devices on Si

"Dr. Deshmukh commented: "I see tremendous potential with Poet Technology's innovative approach to combining Si-based ICs with III-V materials-based optical components on the same chip that could revolutionize the mobility, telecommunications/networking, large data management and other technology sectors. I am very excited to be part of the team to drive this innovation into the market."

-CEO is expected in May

Peter Copetti, Executive Co-Chairman and Interim CEO, stated that “Adam’s loss left a very deep gap to fill, however, the Corporate Governance and Nominating Committee (“CGNC”) has been engaged in an extensive search to find suitable candidates to fill the role of permanent CEO and supporting executive staff and directors”. John O’Donnell, the Chairman of the CGNC, added that “the search has provided a short list of extremely capable and impressive candidates.” Final decisions are not expected to be made until May with respect to the top executive roles, however the process has produced, to date, two very exceptional new directors with the semiconductor industry experience and relationships to help propel the Company through its lab-to-fab transition.

As far as Speculation.. that one is entirely up to you.

If you don't feel comfortable in PTK with these FACTS and you don't feel these FACTS are worth 1.50/share, then you might want to consider selling. Especially if you're simply investing on the speculation of others, are over-extended financially, or this stock is "your solution to all of lifes problems". Investing can be hard on the brain, soul & body if you're not doing it in the proper mindset.
