For god sake. They're making predictions!! If you are recruiting people of this calibre, and your interviews are set for May. Then you would predict that a final decision is made soon after. However if those interviews aren't satisfactory, or the candidates don't accept, then timelines change.
Had they not put that prediction in that NR, then my guess is, we would have had idiots demanding at least an update on the CEO search. Do you not see they are in a catch 22 situation. They update with a prediction, and get it wrong or don't say anything and also get lambasted.
