Sometimes attitude and positive thinking can overwhelm the desire to see the worst in a situation. When we were younger my wife and I had very little, in the way of currency. We struggled week to week. I would say, "gosh, every time we save up a little money something crappy happens and takes it all away." Then, one day, my wise and patient wife said something to me that has affected me to this very day. It had such an influence on my attitude that I say it to my clients all of the time. She said, "No, Joe, you're looking at it all wrong. We are actually quite fortunate. You see, every time something crappy happens we have saved enough money to pay for it, just in time."
