On the other hand, do you really want someone leading POET that thinks their technology is inferior?
Personally, I want someone who believes POET is the best, bar none.
This is the type of CEO I want.
Why was Kevin Barnes there?
Was it because of the IBK connection?
Or was it because of something more substantial?
Or both?
Balsillie is as good as any other potential CEO, arguably better than most. He has negotiated with all the best, knows how to be tough when the going gets rough.
I would vote in favour of his appointment if asked, which I will not be, because the CEO vote is not not up to the shareholders.
