At the risk of overextending the point... having to convert CDN shares to US at .80 dollar could mean 20%+ difference plus exchange fees and red tape vs. Controlling the process in local currency.
If CDN $ moves back to parity when we want to take a little off the table and spend, one takes more than 20% off the top.
Doing the math on my holdings that is many porches of value. The more mature people on this board would not like this either for fi planning.
