However, let's not take our eyes off the need to be respectful to one another in our public and private posts.

For too long the use of a few to here to use PM without following the principles of Agoracom and the high interpersonal standards that make this board a success, has blighted the enjoyment of some to participate here. My brother and I have had personal experience of this. Yes we all need thicker skins at times but blatant disregard of the rules and principles here should not be brushed aside.

Rainer and FJ have taken a lead on this already, but can we establish that henceforth breaches of rules and principles in PM are dealt with by Board Leaders by the simple act of those receiving offencive PM copying the offending material to a leader for review and action.

Those not prepared to retract their ill judged comments and apologise for their offence should be banned.

Could I ask the principles here to consider this and to add this rule to our 'unwritten' constitution.

Additionally can Agoracom clarify that its rules apply to PM as well as public posts.
