Eileen,
I think the perspective you present here is fantastic. I work in the oil and gas industry and i couldnt agree with you more regarding a slow transition from petro to...??? in the future..
But when i think in terms of tech, i think of a learning curve. one that say 50 years ago was gradual and slow say a 5-10% it took years to advance a little...but in todays world the curve is steep as hell, say a 80%pitch for example, leaps and bounds in advancments in shorter time frames. As tech is now advancing at rates previously not experinced due to the fact our tech is advancing at an exponential rate. Do you think the fact the importance of being a first adopter, staying ahead of your competitor, in the tech world would in a way superceed a slow switch from one to the other.. especially considering our GA tech with poet has been designed in a way to hook right into the current CMOS systems? considering these factors id imagine a switch between the two could occur over a much faster time frame that relations to the past? Id love to hear your thoughts on this as im sure my oil and gas knowledge doesnt come close to yours in regards to the tech field. Thanks.
