The obtuse reception of the amazing Eileen article by a new poster and the furore that followed was not one of this board's best moments. Whether intentional or not it has diverted us from the force of Eileen's excellent argument to which I feel we must return to to do it justice.
The post represents an amalgam of research by a group of well qualified experienced team members at Eileen's IT related business who have a common interest in POET. It comes with a health warning about the magnitude of their conclusions yet deliberately avoids stating values, they are implied.
The force of the argument comes from research into the number of verticles that POET can effect amountind to a vast amount of possible income streams. It considers too the effects that cannot be valued, like life effects, and places the Poet Project in it's tme frame of being ready now for adoption by an industry that needs a transfusion or faces dying on the limb through prohibitive costs.
The Pelligrino report was reexamined and found to be too conservative as well as lacking factors that drive value.
The conclusion avoids naming names but points to the potential of POET to equal or surpass the biggest players in the business. The implication being that whatever methodology is used to value POET the conclusion will be a large figure.
My advice is:
1. Re read the post and check the references. Do this calmy and steadily with note book at your side to record your thoughts.
2. Stay invested, stay long.
