1% market share means: 1% of all semiconductor devices will use POET.

The multiplier 0,08 means that 8% of the total cost of the relevant semiconductor (chip) will be the cost for the IP going to PTK as revenue (licensing fee). This is an estimation from the Pellegrino report assuming that the IP of POET is a key technology and a crucial factor for the performance of the chip.
