That NR we saw last week from IBM was a great example of fluff news. "We've accomplished THIS! Oh, but it won't be ready for maybe two years." That was POET 2-3 years ago.
The timing and context of that news made me wonder if the competition (or possibly one day the customer) was trying to substantiate its own R&D dollars in the wake of what's about to come from POET.
And for the record...I HATE the share price right now too.
