Chris's explanations of matters leaves a lot to be desired (by most of us), but perhaps not by his employers. I'm really not sure if he intentionally writes in a manner that can be open to widely varying interpretations, or, being a young fellow, hasn't quite got a style down yet. But rare is the time there is not raging debate over exactly what Chris's missives mean (with a decent amount of support for various interpretations, I might add).
For purposes of the following, let's assume that the milestones have been successfully completed:
If (partially in response to the clamoring here) the company were to put an NR out that only dealt with that fact, the two milestones have been achieved, and said nothing more about the other things we want to hear, how much sustainable help would that give the share price. In other words, if the share price were $1.30 on the day before the announcement, what would the share price be ten trading days after the announcement, assuming no futher news?
Now, depending on your answer, you should consider whether that change in price and that rise in morale (haven't you noticed the rise in morale is rather fleeting?) is worth what management has apparently concluded to be a deleterious effect of announcing now - apparent since they have not yet announced. I don't think they just didn't get around to it.
It also helps me that I have quite a few other stocks to worry about; but this has become my second biggest holding. And it's still tough to beat the entertainment element of this forum.
