The responses to this post are already getting out of hand.
This is a standard + typical clause for lowering the exercising price of options.
I have seen it many times but I have never actually seen it done.
This simply allows for 1 scenario :-
If the share price happens to be lower than the option exercise price, subject to Shareholder Approval, the optionee could have the right to exercise at a lower price.
Nothing more than that.
Nothing sinister.
I'll bet my last dollar this will never be put into effect for 2 reasons :-
1.0 Shareprice will be much higher than any options exercise price.
2.0 Shareholders would vote no anyway.
When Suresh announces the first deal we will all have much better things to discuss / disect.
