Where is it clearly written? The patents state that Poet holds the IP. You don't need to license IP to yourself. Nowhere does it say that Dr. Taylor personally owns the IP and POET had to license it from him. I'm not saying that is impossible, but it certainly wasn't clearly stated. Some think that licensing IP must have involved payment, but no revenue has shown thus far. But licensing does not have to come with revenue. For instance, Synopsis is putting a lot of work into creating POET's design tools. This partnership may have involved a licensing of POETs IP. Similarly for BAE. We'll see.
