That's generally true! However, this could be one of those days of the other 0.01 %. At least Germany is currently trading at around EUR 0.93 (= 1.34 CAD).

Quite a remarkable jump! And I don't know any reason why the Canadian market should not react to Friday's Short Prospectus thingy.
