News has reached base camp that Dr. Suresh Venkatesan has reached and set up camp one on his historic climb of the POET Massif. He reports:

"an immediate view to commercialization, the Company has continued to develop the base process technology necessary to build the complete suite of optoelectronics devices. The new management team is focused on exploiting existing high growth markets where the disruptive power of the POET platform IP provides competitive differentiation."

This good news is going to envigorate the team and motivate them to achieve camp 2, it's hoped this well be achieved by late September.

This mountain is looking more and more like it is going to be climbed for the first time by this gifted team. As expected Dr Taylor, the mastermind behind this attempt, at 70 will take a more consultative role to inflaunce the team from base camp. No one more than he wants this high tech climb to be achieved.

It will be interesting how other teams climbing this mountain will percieve the attempt and join forces and invest in what looks like a successful bid
