Agreed, the ring oscillator is a simple device. It was intended as a demo device to present POET's capabilities and convince people. The fact it is not built tells me it is no longer needed. The reason is most likely that people are convinced already, or at least some people are. To convince even more people, a demo device is no longer needed. A real device will do and will do much better.
