I guess it it worth to think a little deeper about this resignation of SI. I think it would be too easy to think that POET just kicked him out.
Why did PTK give SI the seat on the BoD in 2014? Take a look at this chart:

In 2014 PNP invested significantly, so SI could "enforce" a seat on the BoD.
So why did he leave?
My ideas:
Why didn's PNP put this message in the NR of Thursday? A further NR one day after tells me that this was not planned by PTK. There must have been something unexpected. And my guess is that SI asked for his resignation, as mentioned in the NR.
But why?
I am sure he was not happy with the SP development. His meat is in this fire... Possibly he did not agree with decisions taken by SV, but is this a good reason to leave the BoD - like a defiant little child? I do not think so. He never was very welcome there. but he is a businessman to his bones. I am sure that his plan is that - from now on - he can trade PTK.
So now he has two possibilities: He can buy, or sell.
Both we will see soon, as he is still a reporting insider due to his share count, right? And his trading will have a huge inpact on the SP!
Not like us - he now knows all about the potential and the planned future of PTK.
So why should he sell? Lost confidence? Revenge? No, I can not believe that. It is all about his own wealth...
Why should he buy? At this ridiculous SP?
Well, guess what, I would buy if I had enough cash...
