Some clarifications:

Our current VCSEL milestone operates @ 50GHz in a dense wavelength division mutiplexing format(vs. single fiber mode) in the 850nm wavelenght.

It's important to regonize the difference between PET & POET, if you don't, please look it up(PET-Electrical/POET-Optical).

We're working on a 40nm PTK for PET (it has no connection to the 50GHz VCSEL at 50nm)

In the C.V. Yao is saying they've achieved a VCSEL @ 980nm wavelenght at a 50nm integration in a POET format. NOT a "40nm PET".
