A lot of companies will always brush it aside and come out with a new business strategy, and new management, leaving the old team no longer accountable. This is now happening with POET, and you'll already hear people on this board saying, "oh well, thats the old management team". Forget about everything that they committed to achieving over the last few years. Hearing that really peeves me off

."Gessh Scary, if people being hired at your company are taking closer to 6 months to be productive, maybe your hiring selection committee should be replaced?"

If you've ever owned your own business, then you would know that a good employee becomes more valuable over time as they continue to develop their skills. No one is going to start on their first day and be proficient at their job especially when they are involved in a new hi-tech disruptive technology! Six months seems like a reasonable amount of time for an employee to be adequately productive if properly trained.

I think what Scary has to offer in his comments is an opinion that isn't full of fluff and he's just trying to point out that as optimistic as so many posters here are, there is always another possiblity!
