Thanks Eileen.
I don't believe there is any doubt that 3d imaging is something that a lot of consumers and spies of all walks of life would like to get their hands on. Stereoscopic imagines are really quite old, the original technique invented in the 1830's, and the first ones I remember hearing about were from U2 aircraft back in the 60's. They were cumbersome and required special optical gear to be able to view. But that was a long time ago and certainly there is far better viewing equipment available today.
I do believe that POET has the vcsel's that could help accomplish the goal of viewing images in 3d, but I'm not smart enough to put the pieces together as to how the vcsel would make this happen.
Would I buy a product that could take a stereoscopic image for future viewing?
Maybe, but I don't even carry a smart phone around. I own 3 of them (for my wife and two daughters) but rarely make use of them. My excuse is that I'm waiting until it says Powered by POET.
And when it does, it will likely have the capability to take 3d images.
