David Cheskis serves as Optical Products Director at ANADIGICS and leads the VCSEL custom foundry business. Dr. Cheskis is an expert in semiconductor, optoelectronics and communications technologies, products and markets.

Dr. Cheskis earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of California, San Diego.

6-inch VCSEL wafer fabrication manufacturing advances

GaAs-based VCSELs are being employed in an increasing number of high-volume applications. This trend places pressure on existing manufacturing resources and is the catalyst for the current wave of capacity expansion.
