I'd rather believe we have a 50 GHz VCSEL for DWDM, at least this is what the original milestone said.

And before you ask, GHz is not the same as nm.

And although the milestone description didn't explicitely say what those 50 GHz mean, I believe it's the distance between DWDM channels. So 50 GHz is better than 100 GHz, and 25 GHz is better than 50 GHz.
