Message: Dumb question from a nontech old man

I can't go into deep technical details like Rob, FJ and Rainer. But quick points:

50gbps = Higher end spectrum of what's available today, excellent performance.

- Can be layered into the chip monolithically, ie: more possibilities like optical clock, "built in" sensors, data transmitions, no packaging errors, no packaging costs, etc
- Has lower cost to build
- Can be fully integratabtle in one chip

Market advantage:

-Much lower production cost (one print vs. multi-packaging)
-Increased capabilities in the entire IC itself (Clock, sensors, data transmission)
-Reduced heat/ Reduced Power
-Democratizing higher end tech to the masses, ie: more product integration possibilities.*

*Think:

Xboxs sensor Kinnect, Phones, Cars, Computers, Tricorders, IoT, Servers

vs.

typical markets at present day Servers, Telecom & Infrastructure

All the while being incredibly competitive in the typical markets
