NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Pericom Semiconductors (PSEM - Get Report ) stocks is advancing by 37.44% to $16.74 in mid-morning trading on Thursday, after the company agreed to sell itself to fellow semiconductor company Diodes (DIOD ) for $400 million.

Pericom shareholders will receive $17 in cash per share, a 40% premium to the closing price on September 2
