There are a number of Alternative Trading Systems (ATS) on the Canadian side. So it's very common for sharres to get routed to those. You can see full aggregate trading volume for these ATS'es (15 min delay) at http://www.stockwatch.com/Quote/Detail.aspx?symbol=PTK&region=C
