Lots of interesting opinions and discussion on whether or not PET (by itself) is still actively in the works. I don't know either way, but I would think it may be a function of cost. If the cost of manufacturing PET by itself is significantly cheaper than POET, it would make a lot of sense. If not, then why not just go right for POET. I doubt anyone has the answer (how would they, but might have some idea of any potential differences), but if anyone has an idea on the comparative costs for making PET vs. POET, that would be interesting to know. Time will tell.
