I doubt anyone following this forum would question the technology and the risk reward potential of POET. But, consider the non-deal roadshows as a "gesture of good faith" by POET to the internatonal investment community who may not be dialed in and up to optical light speed at the moment. In one regard it is a show of class by POET management without prejudice. Instead of snooty good 'ol boys club invites, POET is opening their arms to the enitre world of investors. Everyone attending will be thankful they were given the opportunity as a precursor to lift-off, "sooner than you think".
Jules Verne's had inspired Wernher von Braun when he was young. There was a Disney show in 1955 "Man and the Moon" with von Braun in an interview quoted as saying , "Space Travel: Sooner Than You Think". Disney and von Braun collaborated making maximum use of new media (TV) for advancing their ideas and it was only a couple years later in 1957 the space race began. IMHO, POET Management is making maximum use of media with the roadshows and the spin-off of interest following them will be evident as they spread their message around the world. Expect results!
"Put simply, that means we make what's on a wafer up to 10 times more energy efficient, 10 times cheaper and more than 10 times smaller," said Dr. Venkatesan. "And we believe we are the only company that could achieve this level of disruption."
