Bluecollardollar: I cant even convinve them to look into it. I can tell them all about the management team and technology potential, but they just arent interested in the risk. I think this will change when we get a respectable stock price on a respectable exchange.
We know that the markets are trading expectations, therefore a much higher share price would be justified.
On the other hand nobody expects something from a company he doesn't know about and doesn't even care to look at. Yes, that's a problem!
In a worst-case scenario, this stock will remain trading in the $1 range until POET earns actual money. This would create a positive and low P/E ratio which would eventually attract investors.
In a better-case scenario, I expect some risk-aware investors being the exception to the rule and invest some money in spite of the usual key indicators. This buying will give the share price some northward tendency, which in turn might attract more investors, especially as certain hurdles will be taken. And the more investors are "in", the more company news (e.g. about technological advances or even customers) will be paid attention to.
I don't expect the share price behave like a rocket being launched and going straight to the moon, but rather like a 747 which has to thunder about 3 kilometers down the runway until it eventually takes off, slowly gains altitude at first, but then accelerates until it reaches cruising altitude.
From the lower left to the upper right, you know – garnished with the usual high volatility.
