I've been in Poet 3 years+. Many have been here longer than that. The attendees at the road shows have just heard about POET, and the investors of the attendees, be they platinum or tin, probably have not been apprised yet, that decision being left to the discretion of the financial advisors/attendees. What POET is pitching borders on the too good to be true. Fortunately, it's now being pitched by people whose tech business credentials are solid.
We're in a bubble here, in terms of our deep understanding of the potential, and for some, a pretty darn good understanding of the tech. Outside of this small bubble, well...
Even after initial investment, I was skeptical for a long time, in fact, all the way until Ajit joined. My faith in the company increased with the addition of our recent hires. So, currently I'm pulled between our world class management, who surely joined thinking POET had something special, and the lousy share price which is telling me there is huge skepticism out there (I know, "duh").
So, I don't think it's reasonable to expect the road show to give instantaneous results re the share price (as I've posted, my belief is that the initial pop in share price was caused by excitement on this board, in anticipation of the road show).
So again I say, if the tech works as well as our management thinks it will (inferred from their joining POET), then, eventually, we'll be fine.
