Subject: Gallium Arsenide
I just read your article in the Stanford News. Very interesting. Not to take anything away from Stanford but a university in the east has been working with GaAs for decades and has come up with a process to replace silicon with much greater performance. Poet Technologies a Canadian company with labs at the University of Connecticut has patented and devised a solution to the end of Moore's Law. For more information please go to the Poet Technologies website. If you have not heard about Poet, you will in the next month through the financial pages.
Regards, Jim.
There was an old article back in March about Stanford's gas. I sent Tom Abate the above. He acknowledged my memo and liked the name POET and said he would refer the above to his researchers. I have yet to hear from him again. By his acknowledgement, he is sure aware of POET. I based my "If you have not heard about Poet, you will in the next month through the financial pages." on PC's previous statements. I am a bit embarassed now about what PC said earlier. Ajit and company must now make amends for PC's premature boasts.
