Pardon my ignorance - again.....

From what I gather - Cannacord and Pinetree seem to have jumped ship for their own reasons (i.e. their own financial issues other than losing faith in POET) - could POET having knowledge of this lead them to going on this recent road trip to attract new investors? or am I way off?
