Onehourphotonic: A shareholder rights plan was dismissed by a rather (overly?) confident Peter Copetti, I believe it was in the fall of 2014.

No, quite the opposite. A Shareholder Rights Plan (poison pill) is in place and was brought forward under Peter Copetti.

Peter, by the way, did a great job in saving this company from bankruptcy, turning it around, focusing it on the POET technology, and bringing leaders on board that are greater than himself. He has my full appreciation!
