just to add some information from another NR regarding the 2-6 deal.....

"The two deals, according to II-VI, will help position the Saxonburg company to meet growing demand for vertical cavity surface emitting lasers, which have uses in consumer electronics, data centers, sensing, medical and industrial markets. The market is expected to grow at greater than 20 percent a year, the company said."
