This is standard stuff in the US. You will find ambulance chasing law-firms like this after every acquisition of a US-based company. Very rarely does anything substantiated come out of it.

Law firms put these out to generate relatively cheap publicity or notoriety for themselves as these types of "news releases" automatically get grouped under the company's real news releases on most feeds. It's noise.
