it depends on structure size. 250Nm on 55000 vcsels can be placed on a 3"inch wafer.

6" l guess is going to enable 4 times (pi*r²) wich is 220000 vcsels.

but the structure size of our foundry was said might be at 450nm so there might be 120000vcsel on wafer.

the question is, do we produce the same? it s another progress and we know about our advantage, 10* improvement in form factor.

i don t know. if we would get 50k wafers with at least 100k vcsel on it, wow.

1 cent per vcsel, now do the math.

i am not going to believe that. but it would be disruptive.
