Thanks to Derek, FC and Abel, I am finally starting to understand why POET really does have the potential to take this market. As I have said, I am a fan of Polymer Photonics and I truely believe that there will be a place for Lightwave Logics technology someday. But when really is the mystery for Lightwave Logic and their secrecy has not helped investor's understanding of their progress.

On the other hand, POET seems to have everything lined up in the near term. After reading this

whitepaper over and over, I am now convinced that POET has some major advantages in their designs. The onchip light source and the simplified modulator designs are market differentiators that seem hard to beat.

I guess the only remaining cost parameter that is not resolved in my mind is the cost of the GaAs wafers. All the relevant issues of material cost, wafer size, wafer yield and throughput will only be answered by scaling. Given the recent flurry of news items surrounding POET and fabs, I am excited to watch the ongoing progress and hopefully get a clearer view on that last remaining issue.

I have been equally invisted in POET and LWLG for quite a while but I'm starting to think I might make a shift towards POET if the new management continues with the recent momentum.

Best of Luck to all longs,

Rick
