Thus far Si photonics has shown itself to be incapable of this and so POET believes this is the “once in a generation” opportunity for a re-baseline from Si to GaAs as a mainstream technology.”
If Intel hopes to maintain a superior position, and even longer-term relevence, it is incumbent on them to consider an alliance with Poet. Do we need them? No. Could they benefit from us? Absolutely. Are we here for the money? Doe this need to be asked?
