So this is my take on POET and the "omniscient" free-market. Judging by the trading over the last months, we're to believe that the market has completely synthesized all factors in the POET story, carefully balancing future earnings potential of a immensely complex and possibly disruptive technology against a myriad of complex risk factors including, but not limited to, competition, different materials technology, potential scalability of the technology, production yields etc… and come up with the carefully calculated share price of … a dollar. Which, by an insane coincidence, just happens to be one of the most psychologically significant prices you could imagine. I think it's safe to say the market knows nothing (except of course, the last price that someone paid for POET shares). All IMO of course!
