I remember that at the very beginning of POET P. Copetti et al. set a clear strategy of focussing.

With such a groundbreaking new technology there is the big danger for a small company - to try everything at once, and to loose focus.
But the other danger is to loose opportunities, and these opportunities are immense. In high tech there is no time to wait, no time to waste.

This is what we can see here today, with our new POET team under Suresh Venkatesan:
A focus on AOC as a low hanging fruit above a blue ocean for the POET team, but on the other hand not to miss out big opportunities in all the other verticals - by partnering.

And this teaming up can be done with
1. - instituts like IMRE,
2. - cooperations with suppliers like Wavetec, Epiworks, Synopsys and possibly even Applied Materials (my guess)

3. - and industry partnering with companies we can not clearly envision today due to NDA's

I hope we soon can hear some facts about 3. - possibly after a prototype can be shown?
