Message: How POET could compete in a high volume, low margins market

Well said, mackwheaton. Thanks for quickly pointing to a referrence. The link didn't work for me so I'll repost the link to the POET Tranceiver White Paper. If it still doesn't work, the paper is easy to find on POET's web site.

Etops, I'd also like to point out that you misquoted Rainer regarding his assumption. You said, "how can it be reasonable when Rainer even admits he is assuming that Poet's costs will be lower than the competitions? "

Rainer's exact words in part were, "Assuming POET can offer its VCSEL transceivers at a market price that is below its competitors' costs, ...."

So the assumption part was in regards to the price at which POET would offer there AOC's to the market and if that would in fact be below the manufacturing cost of current market competitors and not whether POET's manufacturing cost will be lower than the competition's manufacturing costs. An important distiction.
