Something Mackwheaton wrote has got me thinking. Mack said:

'When things start to come together, the corporate types and the "claim jumpers" will show up, and no sooner than the stock price takes off, the Alfridis and the Schneiders of the world will show up to deride a "glorified coaxial cable, the lowest of low margin peripherals", and say the company is worth maybe a dime a share. Of course these are all false claims, but their intent will be to scare tightly held shares to be sold for a relatively meager profit so they can grab all they want. Be prepared to play along or ride it out. It will be a whole ''nother adventure for sure. '

At a point, hopefully in the not too distant future, there will be a news event that will trigger the PTI share price to break out. I expect that management are planning to make such an event the first shot in a barrage of news to initiate the long awaited run at the NASDAQ. Management have a strategy in place for achieving this, much in the way that the much maligned PC outlined at the CIC event in London, where we got our first real insight into how management were thinking.

One has to bear in mind that what was said back then by PC at the CIC was not intended for our ears, in fact it was the leak of a private CIC video that Sunny discovered that outed managements more liberal thoughts and gave us an insight into their plans but certainly it was a slip up and was never intended to be an officially declared release of poilcy. Whilst PC has been castigated by some here for his loose talk that day and then a failure to deliver what he stated, the fact is that circumstances changed and the real value of the video is for us dot joiners and the insight it gave on management thinking at that time. Yes things changed quickly after the CIC.

We now have a new CEO in place of the temporary interim one. Whist SV is much more technically astute, for me it is still Mr Money Markets (PC) our Co-Chairman who has led on a coordinated run at the NASDAQ, which let's face it, is key to shareholders and the one event that will substantially change the mood of this board and begin our individual attempts at becoming seriously wealthy.

My point is that we sort of know what's coming, a series of substantial news releases of deals, partnerships and revenue, but we don't know when. but it will now be SV who chooses to pull the trigger and not PC obviously. I emphasise that PC lost control of this policy very soon after the CIC event when his replacement was lined up and clearly he would have wanted the new Chief Executive to have his say on the matter and to take control of it as is SV'S right. Therefore, I feel those who castigate PC should be more cerebral about the processes and events unfolding back then when PC's NASDAQ plans were over taken by events.

Before getting to my real point in posting I would also like to highlight the regularly used phrase 'partners lined up waiting on the side-lines'. Such words are now part of the official POET record and shown on slides publically. Knowing the answer to the what and who partners, deals and revenue is to my mind where management confidence emanates from and the reason why seven quarters cash in the coffers is considered to be enough to fund commercialization. To me it is a clear statement that revenues are expected and presumably from the partners that are on the side-lines patiently waiting. But lets get back to who is waiting for what?

To answer that question, I still exercise the notion that back this time last year, the splutter gun not working properly and the actions taken, the BAE short contract, were to overcome this single technical problem and about getting PET back on track before Blevin 'and company' (I was going to use the word 'and core') became too reticent about concerns created of PTI'S ability to mass manufacture POET. A particularly pertinent concern since at that time they 'the core' Apple were being rather once bitten and twice shy about matters, due to a company cock-up buying into a new specialised glass making company which turned sour over mass manufacturing failures. Consequently we get an about turn from SV's with a new strategy of proving POET through VCSEL mass production. A Win Win policy if ever. I also believe that Apple interest in developing PET has proceeded which is why Synopsys work continued and does so as the 40 engineer deal PC also talked about at the CIC event.

Steadily, tThe point when it is proven that POET can be produced on mass by a top fabs is gathering speed and the moment of decision must now be fast approaching, which is perhaps why the AGM has been brought forward to May. Just may be they need approval from shareholders for something big and a early as possilbe. All in all the important moment when we can run to the NASDAQ on news of partners, deals and revenue really must be getting nearer.

Back to Mack's point. There will be a rush for shares if my predictions play out. We will then as a large group of PTK shareholders become the target for tree shaking activities to loosen our hold. Given our experience of interlopers with ulterior motives upsetting our equilibrium here, I would expect to see more of these attacks when we do move. I therefore add to the caution Mack that expresses and ask for vigilance and carefully considered judgement here against malicious misinformation that could well start appearing on the board. Let's be that great team we can be to protect our mutual interest.

And finally, as a weekend distraction you may enjoy this is BBC tribute to Ronny Corbet's talent for word play. Rather topically computer themed in a sketch deliberately reminiscent of the famous 'fork handles' classic sketch. Corbett, one half of the comedy duo 'The Two Ronnies', sadly passed away this week and Ronnie Barker quite some time ago. Harry enfiled does a great job as a stand in. See also the 'Fork handles' sketch. Hilarious if a bit confusing for the English as a secondlanguagers,
