I would agree with whoever it was this morning that suggested this needs to be on a log scale...

First up recognise that I traded in my propeller beanie a great many years ago on this stuff, so no laughing at the questions! But: What does that responsivity mean? does it for example mean that we can receive a far weaker light signal and understand it? in which case does the technology now allow a much greater distance between optical repeaters/amplification?
